The fifth annual Mountair Mile Multi-sport children's race was held on June 26, 2010. There were over 175 entries and it was the most successful race to date! Many thanks to Ben Lowry, the founder of the Mountair Mile, and friend of The Sharing Place, which benefits from the proceeds of the Mountair Mile. We will miss his expertise at the helm and look forward to next year and whomever takes over this wonderful race!

The Sharing Place Experience

The “intake” or interview to attend The Sharing Place was very enlightening to me. The girls cried and showed open emotion even at this first exposure. I believe they “felt” the safe place it was for sharing emotion. I was actually surprised to see my daughter cry at this time as she was very withdrawn.
