When you meet with our Program Director, you will be assigned a grief support group most appropriate for your child. Your group number, coordinator name, and meeting time can be found on the paperwork you receive from the Program Director. Groups are not open, you must be assigned to a group before you attend.
Currently, The Sharing Place facilitates 24 groups, which meet twice a month for 90 minutes each time. There are 2 pre-school group (ages 3 -5), 8 school-aged groups (ages 6-12), and 6 teen groups (ages 13-18). The “Littles” preschool group meets in the mornings, while all other groups meet in the evenings.
In addition to the children and teen groups, parent/caregiver grief support groups also meet during the same time as the child’s group, in a separate room.
